Your holiday starts already by check-in at the SWISS counter in your airport in N.Y., Tel Aviv, London, etc.

You pay an additional 15 $ per luggage and you will get a green label. Write down HOTEL METROPOL AROSA and put the green label on your suitcases.

If you travel with a different air line than SWISS, you can get a green label at the SWISS counter in your home airport before checking in. Put the green labels on your luggage and check-in by your airline.

Arriving in Zurich Airport, you do not handle your luggage, just leave it on the band going around and walk out of the airport like a king to the train station.

If for some reason you couldn't get a green label in your home airport, you can still send your luggage from the Airport train station. But if you don't have the green label, you have to collect you luggage in the airport, take it with you to the train station in Terminal 2 and from there you can send it to AROSA

In the airport train station by the ticket counter ask for a "Halbtax" for one month, which costs 100 Sfr . This card allows you to travel around in Switzerland and pay only half of the regular ticket prices on all trains, buses, boats and cable cars. Then ask for a return-ticket half-price to Arosa , which costs only 45 Sfr. If you are staying only for a shabbes the "Halbtax" wont be worth it... Children below the age of 16 can obtain a Junior-pass which enables them to travel free when accompanied by a parent.

 
1. There are underground trains leaving every 10 minutes from the airport to Zurich HB Hauptbahnhof (main train station)
3. Arriving in Chur, take the pedestrian underpass to the "Bahnhof Platz" From this passage there is an escalator to the Arosa Train.(Since it is not easily seen, please ask for the escalator).

 
2. At the Hauptbahnhof you change trains. Every hour at 37 minutes past the hour you find a train to CHUR. Please take the wagon stationed at Sector C.
4. In the "Bahnhof Platz", on the platform you will see infront of you a red / blue train that takes you the beautiful way up to AROSA.
  

Arriving in Arosa, the Hotel Metropol is only a 5 minute walk from the station. If we know your arrival time, our Hotel Limousine will be waiting for you by the station.

NOTE: To find your way around in Switzerland by car is extremely easy! all roadways and highways are clearly signposted with the directions to your destinations.

You must get to the town Chur.

Chur is the last city before the mountains around Arosa.

If you are comming from Geneva (or France) oBasel (or Gemrany) you must pass through Zürich.

  

from Zürich take the direct highway for 119 km to Chur.

Once in Chur look out for the blue sign to Arosa.

 

In Arosa the HOTEL METROPL is located on the left hand side of the main street going upwards through the village, about 200 meters from the lake.
